Running parallel to the Time x Place series, my Encaustic work also explores our memories and our relationship to them. I am interested in discovering how the emotional memory of a place can shift and drift from the reality of a place, experiences stitching together like dreams, hazy and half remembered.
Using my photography I layer transfers of texture and elements with encaustic wax to create scenes that hover in the spaces in between those experiences.
