When I first encountered the Maori art of New Zealand I wanted to climb inside the designs, fold myself within the mesmerizing curves and arches. This petite piece was based on their traditional Fish Hook shape.

I pushed the stone further though, taking a soft and fragile stone and working sharp edges, the curled ends looking as though they may snap....
